    2008 EVIC question

Today I took my mother shopping for her next car: a 2008 300C. She's trading a 2003 Cadillac Sedan DeVille.

One of the things she really liked about the Caddy was the digital dash; specifically, the speedometer. I have showed her the EVIC "digital speedo" trick on my Charger, and during a test drive this morning I attempted to do the same on an '08 300C AWD. I activated the display in the usual way; holding the "compass" and "musical note" buttons down for ~10 seconds.

I scrolled to the large mph screen, which displayed 0 mph. I then started to drive, and it stayed at 0.

Was this a defective EVIC, or have there been changes that I don't know about?

Wow! I didn't even know you could do this!? Does this work on all LX cars? Every time I start browsing the forums, I learn new things!
