    2008 Differences: 300/Magnum/Chrager ?

    Hi All,

I'm in the process of listing auctions on ebay for our favorite LX cars, but one of the employees says that the 2008 Magnum is complete different than 05-07, body panels, interior, etc. Also he says there are some changes on the 2008 300 compared to the 06-07.

Does anyone have any info on what exactly changed so I know how to do my interchanges for parts?

I know that most, if not all the interior panels are different. I have not seen the rear of the 2008 Magnum yet, so I am not sure about that. I know the dash, door panels, console, whole front is different. I think the seats are still the same though...? "On the inside, the new 2008 Dodge Magnum SRT8 now has agate-color accent stitching, carbon-fiber leather-trim door handles, and LED lighting in the cup holders and door-map pockets.
The 2008 Dodge Magnum has interior upgrades including soft-touch surfaces on the arm rests and top of center console, a new cruise control stalk and optional LED lighting, which illuminates the cup holders and door-map pockets. Brighter, chromed highlights have been added to the interior cabin of the R/T and SXT models.
The instrument panel has been redesigned to offer a more driver-oriented layout. The clean lines and easy-to-read gauges are highlighted with chrome bezels to deliver additional interest. "

I havent seen the 300 so I cant comment on that.

BTW, I will be seeing you soon once it stops raining here in Ohio. I need some stuff

The 2008 Charger did not get any exterior changes except the new tacky antenna on the roof. The only other exterior change will be the new HID headlight units when they become avaliable. The Charger did get the new interior like the Magnum.

The 2008 front clip is different and the hood is different but the rest of the exterior is the same as previous year model Magnums. The interior has a lot of changes.

I can't find the one picture that was posted awhile back, but IIRC the front clip is slightly different to offset the new projector headlights...

    Cool

The Charger and Magnum dash are more a modified version of the 300 dash. New console with soft padded armrest, new door panels with soft padded armrests. Antenna no longer part of backlight glass. On roof now. Back of Magnum is not different from the pictures I've seen. Revised wheel cover and wheel choices. Haven't seen an 08 300 yet at my new dealer. Saw one 08 Charger at my old dealer. It was destined to be an Enterprise rent-a car. Ignition keys are now a bladeless design, a blade is hidden in the fob for emergency unlocking of the drivers door.

The projector headlight housing is the same size and shape as the regular headlight housing, so they did not change the facia. Why would they change the facial just for those few Chargers with the projector headlights? I bet less than 25% of the Charger will have projectors.

    Cool

My new dealer has 5 08 300's now. Couple other differences:
-300 Center high mount stop light is now on decklid, instead of the rear window.
    - On 300C models the 300C badges that are part of the bodyside molding extension on the middle of the front fenders of 2005-2007 models is now part of the bodyside moildings on the doors, similar to the Heritage model moldings.
-On all of the 300's we got, it looks like all have the same taillights, EXCEPT the 300C's. The 300C's don't have the round circle backup light in the center.
Will take some pictures tomorrow and hopefully have them on here soon.

Here's two pictures of a 300C AWD. First, the car in general. Note the car directly behind it- it is an AWD Limited. Same front clip as the 300C, just no chrome mirrors and door handles:

Here's a picture of the redesigned molding with the 300C badge:
