*sigh* car's dead, hmmm = Fnkychkn, any input?

Went to leave Rains house last night and when I remote started the car I got a click click click, like when you have a dead battery..

    roh oh..

used the key and the car fired right up... hmmm

this morning I went out and car started but every idiot light on the dash is lit..

    hmmm...

plug in the star scan and it can not detect the car, the network topolgy only shows the FCM and nothing else..

it tells me the car is a 2007 LX but unable to determine VIN or Vehicle configuration ..

    hmmm...

restore car to stock via diablo to take it to the dealer, diablo shows the car has been restored, all the idiot lights go out except AirBag/ESP/BAS, and MIL.

    *Sigh*

take car to dealer, driving to dealer I discover the car still has the Diablo tune, the MDS will not engage, I can still shift 1-2-3-4-5 and it's holding the gear..

get to dealer, double check the diablo before turning car over to service and it is no longer married to the VIN and is unable to determine vehicle type..

dealer has same issue with star scan as I do...

    roh oh....

FCM, and PCM are possibly dead somehow, at least that is the thought right now by the service guys, but they are not able to get a PCM or FCM until monday..

    *sigh*

funny thing is it is drivable, startable, but appears to have no ability to see or connect to the FCM, PCM, Tor any of the other 19 modules..

the car has no vehicle configuration at all, no electronics work, (windows, door locks, wipers, lights, park assist, HVAC, etc) all these units are DOA..

which makes sense if it is the FCM as it controls all of these.

hmm, that really sounds like a bad FCM. since the FCM is the gateway for the 3 bus's. it is very odd though that the car starts though. must mean the Can C bus is operating properly then. everything else works ok though? headlights, signals, a/c?

no, as i stated no electronics are working..

if it is in fact the FCM this will make the third one that has failed on me in 2 1/2 years of ownership..

I have done no flashing or any changes to the cars electrical in over 6 months... this just happened last night..

Were you driving it in the rain on Wednesday night??. I've seen this before on a couple cars already. Everything got soaked, give it a few days to dry out and everything was back to normal.

No the starscan. The reason why i was asking is because its seem the more we update the starscan the slower and more inacurate it becomes. Ive seen stuff not show up on network topology on starscan then hook up starmobile and get totally different results.

Sometimes a simple battery disconnect will fix the problem. Low battery voltage will also reek havoc on theses systems.
