Will you attend The First Annual Great Western LX Shootout

Sorry to add another topic for this event, but I want to start getting some hard numbers for attendees. We are tentatively planning for February 25th through the 27th to coincide with the first Midnight Mayhem of 2005 at Las Vegas Motorspeedway. This will also give ample time for planning and time off requests.

I'm up for this one, probably leave the family at home, I haven't checked INTO the midnight madness event. Can we do a couple of runs on 1/4 while there? Sounds like fun, we otta see how many are coming, maybe do a poker run on Sat, or a Magnum parade down the strip!
    Later,

Any interest in scheduling the meet around one of the Open Road racing events (like I mentioned in this thread)?

There's the Bonneville 100 held near Wendover NV, on May 5-8, 2005.

Then there is the Nevada Open Road Challenge near Ely NV, on May 12-15, 2005.

If you're going to go pick one of these events to go to, I'd strongly recomend the Bonneville 100 in Wendover. Open road racing is the most dangerous form of motorsports and MKM/USAS (the promoters of the Bonneville 100) appreciate that fact and take it seriously. I personally have some concerns about the communication and safety equipment that the Silver State challenge folks use - that's just my opinion though.

That said, I think it'd be awesome to see a bunch of Magnums out there. I'll be there with my '01 Camaro.

It's alive! Let me look into it. The road race thing sounds cool, but I was thinking about more of a Las Vegas thing.
