I'll be there. This time with stock wheels and new exhaust. No CAI this time though..it won't be ready(unless it is extremely last minute...like friday night!) Thats ok though...then we'll see exhaust differences and then again with exhaust and CAI. I just hope its cooler this time...that or I'm staying later INTO the night until temps drop.

Are we going to arrange a meet before so we can roll in together?

yeah, if it's hot, I say we meet for a late lunch/early dinner, then run later in the afternoon/evening.

since there is the whole performance anxiety thing going on, here is my plan for the next few weeks:

run only 91 octane till then. I usually alternate 91 and 89 every fill up.
(EDIT: I will be running 89 octane. another post jogged my memory about higher octane)

drive my car harder than usual. I get on it once in a while, maybe every couple days. I'll open it up more often and once a day the week leading up to the 18th.

will any of this make a difference? we'll find out on the 18th!

No we don't want to go later. After I checked in at start time I would say at least 75-100 more cars came over the next hour or 2 and registered. What this did was slow it down. I got my first 2 runs in less then 2 hours but I'm willing to bet we might have only got 2 more over the next 3-4 hours. I don't have a problem staying there all day...its cool watchin the cars people will bring out and run, not to mention the true badass muscle cars that run 10's all day. In my opinion you want to be in one of the first 2 groups if possible...50 per group...to make sure you get as many runs in as possible.

If you wait to run, you wont race at all. If you want to race, you need to be there before 1pm to get in line, otherwise there will be more cars than openings to race. They do LIMIT the number of cars racing.

so it sounds like a few of us are going this Saturday. does anyone want to meet before hand for lunch or something?

otherwise I guess we could just meet in the parking lot after tech inspection. I'm sure it won't be hard to spot each other.

    any suggestions???

She doesn't even realize the abuse it took today...I just got hom FROM shooting a commercial with the magnum....I'll tell you guys about it saturday. Lets just say it involved a camera crew, the magnum...and Mulholland(sp) canyon....imagine the fun!!
