So Cal Meet?: Spring Fling April 9 & 10, 2005 Wioodley

Spring Fling is Chrysler Performance West's premier west coast all Mopar SHOW held at Woodley Park on April 9 and 10, 2005. If you have any affection for pentastar products, this is the place to go on the west coast.

Woodley Park is in West Van Nuys, CA, adjacent to the junction of the 405 (San Diego) and US 101 (Ventura) Freeways.

If there is any interest in a meeting at this show, perhaps we can discuss it.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Sounds like a fun time. We should talk about it this Saturday. I may be able to swing this one too.

If anyone is at the meet & greet in Elsinore, talking up Spring Fling would be great. I am a CPA by profession and, unfortunately, this is a full-out time crunch period for me. As such, I will not be able to get out of the office this weekend.

Spring Fling always falls either on the weekend right before or right after April 15 each year. It's usually a push for me to get there, even for a short period of time.

I am making a special effort to be at Spring Fling this year, at least one of the two days. It would be great to perhaps even enter a few cars. I have not done any research in this vein yet however. At the very least, we should try to meet at a central location and go FROM there.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Are we all going to be there for one of the days? Should narrow it down a bit so we get a good presence.

Yes, it is time for Spring Fling! As stated in a prior post, I am a tax guy. Because of this, Spring Fling is usually very poorly timed for me. However, I plan to make a bit of time for this great event.

Here is a link to the show's flier:

    http://www.cpwclub.com/sf05flyer.pdf

I believe that Sunday, April 10 would be the best day, as that is judging day and, as such, the best cars would be there. We would need to coordinate a time. We should also coordinate a place, somewhere in the San Fernando Valley to perhaps meet beforehand, and then go in.

Although I have never been to it, the Show and Shine on Saturday night, April 9, might be fun as well. The location of the Show and Shine is about 10-15 minutes away in Northridge. Any interest should be indicated as well.

I am located 20 minutes away from Woodley Park, in eastern Ventura County. I could lead a caravan from either here, or further in, from the West San Fernando Valley.

Like I said, I am pleased to "catalyze" this effort. Unfortunately, I'm not going to have a lot of time this weekend.

An update on who can go would be great. Any ideas on meeting would be excellent as well.

Will try to make it, please post time and location. If all caravan from ventura, maybe we can meet somewhere close to the place. I live in Culver City, drive to ventura and then back again could be doable, but would rather meet closer to me. We got 15 magnums for elsinore, lets get 20 for this one. :-) Show and shine on sat eve sounds good also. 8-)

Let's do it on Sunday, April 10. We could meet closer in. The time we will meet will be 9:00 AM SHARP.

Give me a little bit and I will provide a place. I promise the meeting place will be within 15-20 minutes of Woodley Park. In this fashion, people coming from "the other side" will not be too far out of their way.

    Sunday, April 10, 2005-Meeting Location

I believe I have found a workable location.

There is an IHOP in Tarzana (approximately 7 miles from Woodley Park) which has reasonably ample parking in an auxiliary lot behind the strip center where it's located. A Mapquest link to the location is:

    http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...&zipcode=91356

From the Ventura Freeway (US 101), the exit from either northbound or southbound is Tampa Avenue. Refer to the map for additional information.

I plan to be there at approximately 8:00AM to 8:15AM, most likely with my two sons, in order to have breakfast. We should plan to leave the IHOP and caravan to Woodley park at 9:00 AM SHARP.

I promise to wear my black 300C Cap, for identification.

If anyone has interest in the Show and Shine, that would be cool..Lets discuss.
