Help needed from Houston LXers

:o :o Howdy Houston LXers,
I need some help. While in Houston last Feb. for the Superbowl, we had some "Bum Phillips" bacon. I would drive to Texas myself, But since I live in Mass, that would be tough. I would pay for everything up front if one of my fellow LXers could ship a few pounds up to me :D :D .It is for a very good friend of mine, and his wife wants to get him some for Christmas. Thanks,

what makes bum phillips bacon different?
I'm a TX boy and have never heard of it.
Did get to work with Bum once though.
Still, he didn't mention bacon.

It is actually made by the Blue Ribbon Sausage Co. Bum is the spokesman for them and their Bacon has his name on it. It is really thick and smoky, and we just loved it. I'm sure we can get close to it here, but it is more of a novelty at this point. Ii is only available in Texas.

I miss that.
What I miss the most about TX though is the food. Can't find any meskin food or even a decient chicken fry up here.
The chicks are no where near as good lookin as in TX either. I was lucky enough to marry a TX girl and bring her with me. She agrees though. A 10 in STL is an 8 in TX... and thats assuming you've been drinkin.

The one and only Bo has saved the day. It is refreshing to see that people are still willing to help a total stranger because of something as simple as an automobile bond. Thanks to Bo, I was able to give my best friend one awesome Christmas gift. I just want to thank Bo again for his generosity. He gets my vote for LXer of the month. :D
