    This probably wouldn't be the event for me to dip my feet into drag racing, but I would like to come and meet everyone! Do they have a noob segment?!

    Yes folks three days.... but the first day is usually for the real heavy hitters that want to get some shakedown runs (but --->) ....also qualifying starts and goes into Saturday. ALL Participants can go and register on Friday for the event and run down the track should they choose to.

    Here is one of the great things about MIR. The Track knows they have a fantastic fan base that comes to watch racing every weekend. The fans there are hardcore and they stay to the end.
    So the stands are well populated the whole time during an event like this. It makes for a good time if you are in the stands ...some of them can be very animated... capeeesh?

    You know I have to say... if you want to race come race you'll be fine... it is 2 days but some classes will finish Saturday and Index will run and finish Sunday... and if you register to race you get to hang and park your car in the pits with everyone ...

    or enter the car in the carshow, but that's on the other side of the track

    Linda reminded me that the parking lot is not great for trailers and rooms were not the greatest when we stayed at the La Quinta last November, so going to check on the others.

    I just booked at the Clarion. Google satellite image shows LOTS of room for parking the rigs.

    This is a great event for you to get into Drag racing.....you can start out with the True Street segment on Saturday where you are really only racing the clock and then roll into Index on Sunday.

    Clarion definitely has a huge lot for trailers and yes LaQuinta's lot is not good for trailers and rooms were not that great... only 2 miles apart
