    '05 All-Chrysler Nationals, 7/8/05-7/10/05 - Carlisle, PA

Figured I'd start this thread to get a rough count as to how many folks would be interested in this event. I don't think I'll be able to make it, but I know some folks FROM Allpar are going as well as a GROUP FROM DodgeIntrepid.net.

This is a big event for the 300M Club as well, so I will be there. 300Ms and 300C will likely be parked together and Magnums I would guess might get grouped with Intrepids? If we get enough cars (20+) we can make a class for just LX or just Magnums, just 300Cs, etc. Early registration in late Spring will help that.

Yeah, last year we were alot (apparently) It was my first time there and both parking locations for our clubs (300M and Intrepid) were full......Hopefully we will get more people for 2005 as well as a new class (LX) or maybe 2 (magnums and 300's)...... but I would doubt it for the first year of the LX's. Anyways, I will be there again with a couple of new additions to my car........You'll know what it is when it will be set and done.

If you plan on going, you'd better look for hotels NOW! I made my reservations over a month ago.

I'll be there... with my 69 Road Runner convertible. It's getting a complete heart transplant. Rebuilt 383 with Eddy heads, rebuilt tranny and a sure-grip rear end.

I might go, it's just an hour away for me. Hopefully when I ORDER in the next month or so it'll get here before then.

Just so everyone knows, they used to have the import car SHOW there 2 years ago and it was the last. A buddy of mine was there with his Celica and got pulled over while sitting in traffic for his clear turn signals. He said the cops were pulling most everyone over and ticketing them for all of the illegal mods.

From what I read, the Ricer SHOW at Carlisle was a complete disaster. The kids were racing on the streets and making complete @sses of themselves.

Carlisle isn't supposed to be like that. I've been going to the Chrysler SHOW for years, and you don't see people racing on the streets.

Well I was thinking, it's a friday to sunday, any chance that if I found a spot on the SHOW field, it would still be there if I ducked out for part of saturday? The wife's been jabbing me to take her and our 3 yr old to hershey park which is 1/2 hour away... Anyone else going to bring the spousal unit and the offspring?

No offense, but if someone were to steal a car there, they wouldn't steal a new car. It's a lot easier to steal an old one. There are too many people around for someone to hotwire a car. Some people leave their cars overnight on the field.

Here's a picture of me FROM 2004 Carlisle. I took the wife and my < 1 year old son. Below are before and after pics of his first ride with the top down (just cruised around Carlisle, nothing fast).

I was meaning, my parking spot on the field, not the car itself.

If you are on the field, you will be in an assigned area, so folks that would take your spot would be in your class. You can have friends and fellow owners watch your spot and sit chairs and such in the way if it's an issue. Locating a trash can in your spot is another way.

The Dodge Intrepids and 300M Clubs will be working with the folks in charge to setup our location in an ideal locale. Last year we had a good spot and a class for 300M and Intrepid, so our clubs didn't have to compete against one another like in 2003. We had enough attendance we were parking cars in between rows since we had so many cars. I will try and press for a larger space to park based on that.

300C and Magnums may get mixed in with other classes, probably ours, if there are not at least 20 cars signed up. If you can get 20 of us to go, there can be a class or classes created for the models. Each class has a 1st, 2nd, 3rd plaque to compete for. Winners park in a special area on Sunday and lineup for a parade and awards ceromony at 12pm Sunday. Shows over when the last car gets it's award.

I'll be there with my 300M for the 4th year. It's a lot of fun.
