    Sup.

Name is Eric, live in Arlngton, Texas. Been looking at Magnum R/Ts lately, and might be purchasing one next year. For now, I've got a 200K mile Exploder and a 57 Bel Air in faded black paint. SUVs blow, and I've got a soft spot for Wagons, so hopefully I'll be able to get plenty of information about them from this site. Guess that's it.

For a balance of performance, options, and practicality nothing beats the Magnum.

Here is a great little thread I posted a week or so ago. After what I went through I was easily reassured that my decision was a solid one... you can't find the qualities of a Magnum in any other car for near the same price.

Great read; thanks for the link. I'm actually an old Mustang guy. I've had 16 of them. hahaha, Sold my 01 Cobra last December, and have been looking for a high peformance all around vehicle, and I think this is it. Throw a blower on your car and you'll stomp that Saleens butt.

Oh yeah, they haven't put a factory sunroof in a Mustang since 1993, btw. All the ones you see are dealer installed, and kill the resale value.

Welcome aboard from Downunder too. Great place, Arlington TX. My wife and I always enjoy visiting Texas, but then we enjoy everywhere in the US.

I am sure you will love the Magnum R/T. If you can extend that far, consider the SRT8. I reckon they are awesome.

Ohhh, I'm considering it, but it's probably a bit out of my range. I've been doing some research for the last few days. Wish they'd drop in price some.

Arlington isn't bad. I've lived here for 21 years.

Thanks for the response, I'm glad it was a good read for you. You being a former Mustang owner I know you definitely connected with that!

Just an FYI: There are some killer deals going on right now for 06 SRT8's everywhere. End of model year and all that. eBay has a lot of dealerships making deals that put the SRT8 in the price range of a comparably equipped R/T right now.

Might be worth some searching and haggling if you go that route. In any case each variant of the Mag is awesome. The R/T is plenty powerful and a ton of fun, and the V6 models still deliver more than any other car in their class.

Well, what I'm mostly looking at is the R/Ts since they seem to be the best bang for the buck. I'd love an SRT8, but the cost right now really is prohibative. One question. I don't think I've seen it, but they don't happen to make a Magnum with a 6 speed, do they? If they don't, has anyone done a conversion yet? There has to be someone out there as sick as I am...

Good vids from wiscmag. Your car sounds great. What exhaust are you running?
