Old car guy - new car toy

Got the R/T on Nov. 1. Even putting aside the fact that it's supposed to be situated on an E-Class Mercedes platform  , I love the thing. Put the 22s on before it left the lot. Magnaflow exhaust came 4 days later, and I am currently HAVING hell getting the K&N air intake (thinking of going with a Pro Zen model). I have also inquired to all chip/programming manufacturers, and nothing available yet. However, the 300C is supposed to get a supercharger this spring, and I will certainly make that a factory add-on when available. Hope everyone is enjoying their "Nomads." P.S. This is the best daily driver I have had (complete with all the goodies and packages: nav, all groups except smokers, sunroof, etc.) When I get done, it may give the ol' 05 Vette a run for the money (until I mod it that is). Either way, still a lot more comfortable!!!!

    Welcome to Magnum land.

Thanks. Enjoying the car immensely. Just wish the aftermarket parts were coming out faster, or at least more available.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride.

Are you saying there is going to be a "factory" meaning Chrysler or Mopar supercharger coming FROM the factory in the spring?

That's what the local dealer tells me...but you know how that goes. I thought the SRT8 to be released this Sprint was to be a supercharged version of the 5.7, but found out it is a normally aspirated 6.1. I was told the supercharger would be on the 300C for the Spring, about the time they release the 2-door convertible version of the 300C. If it's a factory option, they will make it available as a Mopar part (warranty and all !!!). It's all so wonderful...I may have to start a collection of Mopars myself.

I doubt they will offer a factory supercharger for the 5.7. That would probably boost power above the 6.1. Last week DCX did annouce that Mopar will offer a crate motor with a funny car styled blower.

I agree. Wish they had gone the SC route, but oh well. May have to see about a dealer swap for the 6.1. A nice 6-71 sticking out of the hood would provide the requisite retro look though!
