    Newbe MI

    Hello Everyone,
Have been checking out the site for a while while preparing to purchase my new 05 Mag RT Midnight Blue, great amount of info.

Had it for about a month now and was extremely happy until had to drop it off at the dealer yesterday.
Excessive vibration during acceleration (moderate) sounded like suspension or possible transmission issues. Happens especially when accelerating and hitting some of our typical Michigan road bumps. Service guy took (2) test drives he did not hear anything put on the hoist all suspension look good. I took him for a test drive he heard within the first mile, sounds like going over rumble strips...
He thinks exhaust, will wait to hear today hopefully that was the problem, maybe a bushing..
Anyway I love the car as long as it does not make the noise.

Summary 05 Mag (Nav, Sunroof, Sat Radio, Heated seats dual temp, Snows)
    Previous Vehicles
    2004 F150
    2002 Ranger FX4
    2000 Ranger Edge
    1994 Wrangler
    1987 Volkswagen Golf

Welcome to the forum. Glad you could make it.

Your problem sounds very similar to "water in transmission" issue that others have encountered. have your dealer check for TSB's related to the transmission.

Like done said sounds like the "Transmission Shudder" problem. Go to the knowledge base and download the Tsb and print it up. Give it to your dealer. If he is cool, he will thank you. If he is not, he will thank you and mutter things under his breath and give you that look. LOL

You guys seem to have your knowledge base all worked out.
I printed out the Service Bulletin and called my dealer, he said he also found the Service Bulletin on the water in transmission. He flushed the transmission once and the problem still existed, he found out his transmission flush system was not working properly, hopefully will be fixed tomorrow and I will be able drive the car again.

    Thanks for the re-assurance.
