New member looking for Magnum RT

Hi Everybody

First I would like to congratulated this site for a good source of info. I'm looking to buy a black '05 Magnum RT Loaded with exception of navigation. If possible the good, the bad. How is the 5.7L MPG when driven reasonably? And would you buy it again if it was possible. They are no longer available in Canada. I've been Mopar since birth. I will be trading an Intrepid for this one, my other Mopars are a '79 PowerWagon 360 4 speeds and a 340 Duster 5 speeds. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

WELCOME from our West Virginia LXs in the Mid-Ohio River Valley! Assuming you're not talking about AWD, then you should expect 23+ mpg (US) highway and 15-16 mpg around town. I am SO GLAD I have my Magnum... Had two 300Cs before that, but missed the hauling capacity (in more ways that one). So one of 'em had to go when I got a unbelieveable deal on the MSRT8.

Do it again... in a heartbeat... if I didn't already have it.

Hey Robert, Welcome from North Carolina. My 05 Magnum R/T averaged 17-19 in town and 25-27 on the Hwy. I would not get a 5.7 again, I now have a Magnum SRT8.

A Magnum or any LX is a great choice. WORLDS better than the LH platform although the LH platform isn't a bad one in itself. I also had an Intrepid and currently also have an LHS. You will not regret it - I love my 5.7.
