New Black RT RWD Owner in Houston

Hello Everyone. Just thought I'd DROP in and introduce myself. I got my Black RT on New Years Eve and I love it. I love the power and the smooth ride on the highway. I can't wait to road trip in it. It feels like a tank compared to my previous love that I traded in, my 2003 MINI Cooper S. I loved that car and it provided me with so much enjoyment at Track Days and Auto Crosses. I never would have gotten my RT if it wasn't for my 2 kids getting older and making it harder to take the MINI on Road Trips as a family. I'm actually acting president of the Houston MINI Motoring Society and I guess I'll be stepping down at next weekends meeting.

Before the MINI I had a BMW 530 touring wagon which was great car. The Magnum reminds me of the BMW in a number of ways and I hope I enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the BMW. I'm a wagon guy and as far as waggons go the Magnum RT can't be beat.

I don't know if I'll take the Magnum to a Track day or not. I do like to get experience driving my cars at high speed in a controlled environment and applying my driving skills on the open road.

Thanks for the welcome. Every time I start missing my MINI I take a spin around the block and make sure to punch it a couple times. The MINI took the corners better but the Magnum will pin you in you seat and get you past legal preaty damn fast.
