Hello From WV

[WVMAGNUM]

Been a member since the summer and thought I would share the story of my magnum. After test driving an 06 model early in the summer I was hooked! But I still couldnt find one with all the options and the color that I wanted so I looked at several different dealers in the area. Then after checking at the same dealership several times with no new arrivals one of the salesmen took me inside to take my number in case any new ones arrived and in the back corner of the showroom was a brand new 05 AWD model with 11 miles on it! It seems all of the salesmen completely forgot about it since it was tucked in the back corner behind several trucks. I really had no interest in the AWD model due the the extra cost but almost 10k off sticker changed my mind. so now I am the proud owner of a 05 AWD midnight blue magnum.......now the fun begins......

fast forward about 4 weeks and i am sitting in town at a stoplight and a moving van in the right lane decides to turn right on red and misjudged his turn and took out my passenger door, mirror and right fender. keep in mind I am completely stopped in the middle lane! still in shock as I look over and he does not even stop! fast forward again several minutes as I chase him deeper into a far less desirable part of town and he finally pulls over and 5 yes FIVE guys pile out of the cab! one takes off running (with the beer) and I have to try and keep 4 others at the scene until the cops arrive. needless to say the cop was too late to see them with the beer but as it was completely their fault he did not pursue it.

and here was the result.





So here i was 4 weeks into driving the new mag now its not drivable due to the wheel scraping the fender, but at least they did have insurance.


So this is where my mind starts thinking.....After talking to their insurance and finding out not only that they were drinking and had way too many in the cab but were also doing personal work in a company truck. Needless to say they bent over backwards to accomodate me and since my front bumper had a 1 inch scratch on it I convinced them to replace the entire bumper since it was a brand new car even though it was an 05 model.

So I decided if i have to change the bumper I might as well do it right,
and this is the result.
