Signed up today after reading countless thousands of forum posts both here and other sites. Decided I would post my first today and see what happens.
Looking to make contact with other locals who own Magnum SRT8s in Atlanta. There certainly do not appear to be that many of them around here.
This is my first Chyrsler Corp car ever. It appears to be my mid-life crisis mobile. Having owned countless early Camaros, Corvettes, Trans Ams and 4x4s in my lifetime, I am not sure yet why I am now driving a 425hp station wagon......, but sometimes things dont have to make sense.....lol. When I turned in my leased Infinity FX, I couldnt find anything I wanted...and then I saw one of these things while shopping around...test drove it ....and summarily dismissed it as impractical, uneconomical and anything else i could think of....after all I am 54 years old .....but damn it has really nice acceleration! Left the dealership and stopped by the ford place to look at Explorers.....ugh. Not sure what happened then but something just said to me.....is this really what it's come down to? you used to drive SS396 carmaros......450hp Chevelles......and you're lookin at Explorers......might as well just head on over the old folks home and check in early...
. Whipped the renta car around and back to the dealer....bought a TorRed 2007 SRT8.....loved it but no damn hood scoop.....hmmmmmm cant stand that.....so searched high and low for a 2008.....damn they are hard to find.......but finally......found a 2008 fully loaded TorRed just sold at the Chrysler factory action with 78 miles on it. Hehe...now I am driving it. It certainly is different driving a car that is completely computer controlled (70 LS6 Chevelles didnt have computers).....but old dawgs CAN learn new tricks and this old dawg will be gettin a bunch of attention on Peachtree St once the mods are all completed. Sorry....yes i can be long winded...lol.
Look for me on the boulevard.......hard to miss the white buzzed hair and the retro Oakley Razor Blades.....ridin on DUB 22s.
