    Future Magnum owner saying hello

    Hey everybody, just saying hi.

Basically I'm 20, working my way through college (almost half-way now), staying out of debt and trying to hold on till I make a car purchase. I currently drive a 96 Sebring Couple, with just some cosmetic work (BMW grey paint job (done by yours truly, well the prep work at least), cleared headlights, 2.5 inche exhaust, clear signals, wheels, rotors, kuhmo tires). It's a nice car, not fast at all (obviously), but has been 100% amazing to me. 40,000 miles not one problem, even with the problematic A604 (which shifts perfectly). Just checking out the site to gain all of the knowledge I can about the LX platform, might look at the Charger too, but it isn't looking too good. All in all, just trying to get some cool ideas. Thanks.

Hi, just my local transfer college, Century formerly known as Lakewood Community College. Then I'm going to transfer to Metro State University and finish off a degree in marketing/hospitality. Once everything is completed I should graduate Spring of 2007, and I hope to have my first restaurant at 24. I figure the Magnum will not only be a good muscle car (aka fun) it will also serve as a utility vehicle.

Sounds like a great plan. It is nice to see people who have goals. Too many people run around these days and have no focus or direction in their lives. Stay focused and you will reach your goals.

Haha, slight typo. Make that spring of 2007. Looking for a '67 Fastback? Looking to redo the 67/68 McQueen bullitt car? Good choice.

You mean the Bullit, not really and not Elanor FROM Gone in 60 seconds.

Just a basic ordinary 67 fastback, new stroker small block engine, maybe turbo or supercharger, 4.10 rear end, and the 4 speed overdrive auto transmission. Don't need air condition or radio, or any other warm fuzzy crap. I figure the sound of dual chamber flowmaster exiting front of the rear wheels is good enough music for me, and the rush of air coming through all the orfices of the car is enough conditioning! :D

So basically all I need is the body and frame. Power train will be all new! Will never be a trailer queen either. I hate trailer queens!

No, it is BULLITT, I'm 100% positive (have DVD in front of my face). Anyways, sounds like an awesome project. My friend has a 67 frame in his driveway right now, he's waiting for summer. His first Mustang project was a fat '71 with a puny 302, but it was still pretty quick with a different carb setup and some unique exhaust work.

I agree, on muscle cars, on any cars, A/C isn't needed. I can't say I've ever used it unless someone has yelled at me to put it on.
