its like pulling on your computer it will reset every thing but if done enough your PCM will crash
    I don't recommend it

    basically it works like this:

if you drive like a stock car racer all the time, your car will behave like a stock car, and be very responsive and quick

if you drive like a grandpa then your car will be slow and sluggish

in both cases it is "learning" how to respond to the driver and the commands of the driver..

the longer you go between resetting the adaptives the more "leveled" out the car becomes in it's performance, mpg, responsiveness etc..

pulling fuse 11 for 15 - 20 seconds wipes out all that adaptive learning and starts the cycle over again..

when you mod the motor, intake, exhaust, etc it is wise to pull fuse 11 so that the computer can "re-learn" the changes..

the Air Hammer does increase power and it does suck more air than the stock intake and even the mopar CAI.. therefore the car needs to start fresh so that it doesn't "bog" down with the new mod..

I pull fuse 11 every so often just because I do so much stop and go driving, that when I step on it; the car doesn't always respond as I like.. and that's because I am constantly stuck in LA traffic, so the car has "learned" to be sluggish..

a lot of guys pull fuse 11 on track days to clear out the adaptives from daily commuting so that the car will perform better at the track...

yes it make a difference.. think of it in terms of a Windows PC..

a highly fragmented drive make the computer slow and sluggish, a clean defragmented drive speeds up the computer and makes it work better...

    same theory..

Can't see how it would harm the PCM by resetting the adaptives. \
