    Who has broken axles?

With the help of the good folks at HHP I will be pushing a bit more horsepower to the rear wheels on my RT. I expect to dyno at least 360 RWHP and hope to push past 400 with in the near future.

With the Pro Torque Converter I have being installed I am wondering how the rear end will hold up to 3K RPM launches. Anyone out there making close to 400 HP have any stories to share of breaking stuff from pushing the envelope on stock rear end parts?

Cam is pushing 400+ in his RT with a 2800 converter and so far, hasn't busted an axle.

I'm pushing 380+ RWHP, and a 2800 PT converter, with over 20 launches and no problems.

To the best of my knowledge, there hasn't been a halfshaft failure in a 5.7, even though they are running as fast or faster with as hard or harder launches as the 6.1's and strokers with SRT rears.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

Going from 2.82 to 3.06 gears makes a big difference in torque applied to the shafts.

No one is breaking rear half shafts or differentials on 5.7's? How about those LXers on the bleeding edge, 100 shot spray, BIG hp, high stall TC? I know some folks here flog there cars hard and I am surprised to hear no ones breaking stuff in the rear, on 5.7's anyway.
