Where is Crankshaft Position Sensor on a 3.5 ???

Today my wife gets in the car and it was hard to start cranked & cranked then started.

She got the flashing engine light and a constant ESP & BAS

I did the key OBD thing and got codes 0300 & 0335.

P0300 = Random Misfire detected

P0335 = Crankshaft Position Sensor a circuit

I did the Search and have read for a couple hours and it sure sounds like the Crankshaft Position Sensor has gone bad.
But all the past threads seem to be the V8's

Can someone tell me where this sensor is on a 3.5 ? (2006 Charger)

How about some how to instructions ? pics are always welcome .

Is this a dealer only part or do you have a P/N ?

crank sensor is in the bellhousing on the passenger's side. you can access it from under the car, by the right exhaust manifold flange.

I went and bought a new one at Checker for $20

Removing that damn clip was harder than removing the sensor itself

Took it for a test drive, and it started right up. and ran smoooth.

The CEL is off.

but the
ESP
BAS
lights did pop back on while on the test drive?

I unpluged #14 fuse while I put away the tools.
Then stuck the fuse back in and checked the OBD for codes again
ALL CLEAR, No codes.

I will have to wait and see how everything goes tommarrow

2 Days later and no issues, no problems, no fault lights or error codes
So it turned out to be a $20 & 20 minute fix
