Viper Style vs. SRT8 Functional Hood

First of all I suppose they're probably both functional. My question is about the water problems. I have read in a couple places that there is a problem with the Viper hood because it lets water into the air filter. Is this true and a bad thing for the car/intake? Wouldn't this happen fairly easily with any ram-air CAI setups?

    Also, which one is better?

If you are looking at a stock SRT hood, it is not truely functional. The stockers blow air over the cylinder heads. The aftermarket SRT style hoods are ram-functional, meaning they direct air to the air box location. There are few companies out there that make them. TruFibre, Whiteboy, RKSport among others. I think the Charger Viper style hoods have the same direct air routing as the SRT style ones. I have had my SRT style hood for over 6 months with no water issues. Even during the winter have had no problems. I am currently running an AirHammer intake. So there is no sealed air box like some of the other CAI's but have not heard of any issues with ram-air hoods and CAI's. Hope this helps you out.
