    Throttle Body pics

Hey everyone. I was installing my intake and decided to take a look at the throttle body while I had the hose off and this is what I found. That seems like excessive buildup to me. Any idea to the reasoning behind this? Could a catch can from BT help with this? This car is used and I picked it up with 42K on it. Thanks everyone.

looks normal for the backside of the throttle plate with your kind of mileage. easily cleaned with a rag soaked in brake clean.
Izzy pics money talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"

Oh ok. I did clean her up, just kind of freaked me out. Also, is it possible to notice any differences in mileage or pep? I could have swore that she seemed to respond a bit better.

mine is still perfectly clean behind the throttle blade. it is hard to get any build up with the throttle blade standing on edge.

Mine looked like that after less than 30K miles. I will be adding a catch-can very soon, as well.

    I posted about it here.
