The adaptives will reset everytime you pull the battery.

Yup.
From wild to extra wild we got you covered with crap ya never knew you needed.
The first 6.1 transformation and it all went down hill from there.

So then don't unplug battery and plug in tcm...![]()

since TCM has no B+ feed, adaptives are stored in non-volatile memory. disconnecting battery will have no effect on TCM.
Izzy picsmoney talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"
You know what there Mr Chicken, never thought about it. But no matter what I have done with the PCM, my tranny always remained a constant with what ever tune I choose to program the TCM with. Or should I say that adaptives never played a roll in how my tranny reacted.
So swapping the TCM hot, will be OK??.

They are both sitting in there and I keep switching the plugs back and forth and can't decide if one is better than the other. One is my stock 06 TCM that was flashed to 92AK and the other is the Heat Stage 1 that is actually a 05 90AF but I think it shifts better than the flashed stock 06
I hate to add to this thread because it concerns heat who has royally ripped me off, but the heat TCM does shift harder. I took three TCM's to the track, Stock (SRT autostick enabled), Stock with AK flash, and a heat. Heat shifted the hardest.

Did you ever check the number on it with your starscan I was alsways thinking it was just a regular TCM from a earlier model LX car that had firmer shifting as I remember being said a long time ago. The number on my Heat TCM is 4692390AF, hardware 0006, software 04.12.17 which is from a 05 model
Hey inferal!! While fast56 is here why don't you get him to flash your 06 tcm to 6400 for ya!! Would solve yur shifting huh??![]()

The Heat stage 1 is definately a different animal than the stage 2. Same for most aftermarket TCM's.
In my case, my Heat stage 1 seems to be a rebadged "early model".
BUT... a Stage 2 would give me 6200 rpm shfits and such... not at all something that a stock 5.7 computer would EVER do. Same is rumored to be with other stage 2 computers from other vendors... so it very well may be from something (or adapted from something) that is more aggressive than an LX has to offer from the factory... at any time.
