    SuperChips 1/4mi VS Track 1/4mi?

For those of you with superchips how far off was the superchips when you ran the 1/4 vs running at a real track?
I ran 14.25 at 100mph with 5.72sec (0-60) My fast 0-60 was a 5.34 useing the charger own timer. Im starting to feel the 07 suck, mine seems slow compaired to others.

Any one eles know there 1/4 mile time with a stock charger?

The SC time will be pretty close. The MPH will be high since the track averages the last part of the run. SC will read about 2-3 MPH high.

The DashHawk does the same since neither has averaging like the track.

Those times sound fair. You need to consider the temperature, pressure and humidity to compare numbers.

I have an 05 Magnum RT and here are some numbers from the Datalogging thread ( http://www.lxforums.com/board/f127/datalogging-thread-posted-numbers-36203-post736898/ post 102):

Here are 1/4 miles times and a comparison with the SC flashpaq data logging numbers (last run).

    2005 Magnum RT
Stock tires were about 35 psi all around
Launches were all with ESP on and launch from idle
    * numbers probably would improve if launched at 1100-1200 RPMs
SC FP with 91 tune ( 93 octane fuel), reduced torque management, stock shift points

Tried both "D" and paddle autokick (results the same)

    Conditions:
    75 degrees
    55 degrees Dewpoint
    pressure 30.26
    55% humidity
    Alt 152ft asl

    calc Density altitude 1025 ft

The 3 runs on the 1/4 mile:

    14.298 @ 96.81
    14.321 @ 97.09 +0.023s (+0.16%) +0.28MPH (+0.28922%)
    14.312 @ 96.89 +0.014S (+0.0979%) +0.08MPH (+0.08263%)

    Remarkably consistent times and speeds.

    Corrected for conditions using
    http://members.tripod.com/~MY5LTRLXCPE/altitude.html
    Sea level conversion (1200ft - 0ft)

    ET * 0.9874 = 14.118s (corrected)
    MPH * 1.0129 = 98.342MPH (corrected)

    Not bad- not too good.

Raw numbers from the track (last run had SC Flashpaq running for comparison):

    Run 1:

    rt : .615
    60 : 2.121
    330 : 6.011
    1/8 : 9.194
    MPH : 76.64
    1000: 11.966
    1/4 : 14.298
    MPH : 96.81

    Run 2:

    rt : .189
    60 : 2.126
    330 : 6.022
    1/8 : 9.210
    MPH : 76.61
    1000: 11.985
    1/4 : 14.321
    MPH : 97.09

    Run 3 real (flashpaq):

    rt : .276
    60 : 2.120 (2.43 31 MPH)
    330 : 6.019 (6.33 61 MPH)
    1/8 : 9.209 (9.54 77 MPH)
    MPH : 76.56 ( 77 )
    1000: 11.979 (12.33 88 MPH)
    1/4 : 14.312 (14.66 96 MPH)
    MPH : 96.89 ( 96 )

Flashpaq was close on MPH but slow on the times:

    14.6% on 60'
    5.2% on 330'
    3.59% on 1/8
    2.90% on 1000'
    2.43% on 1/4

The error keeps getting smaller, but 2.43% on the 1/4 makes the time look bad.
Enjoy life- you only get one!!

When I first got her home she was running 6.80 o-60 times. I have done a lot of mods I don't really dont want to get into. But after mods the fast 0-60 times was 5.43. ESP off, launch 2000rpm not tire spin in D. I have put over 700 miles since all my mods. Factory tires 32 pounds, coolit mod running a constent 185 temp, I love the road, deep groves for loads of tracion. I just dont get it, my 07 seems so slow comparded to others.

Not sure whats going on. You took a second off your 0-60. A second off the 1/4 mile puts you well into the 13's.

I have been running 13.7 consistently (no nitrous), but not sure how our mods compare.

Get used to her she'll come around.. and you'll be running 13's when you take her to the track. Remember... the superchips runs the times off of your tire settings also. Check those out and find out what your 60fts are.

These cars really like cool air, Bet you'll get much better times than that come winter. If it makes you feel better, I was stuck in 2 feet of snow third week of April, but she was running like a beotch until that last snow drift!

#6. its slow compared to what?
#7. if you shock the ESP system, be prepared for the TB and brakes to take over.

#8. No way can you launch @ 2000 and not spin.............if so, you have huge ESP issues.................bottom line

    ROFL.......................dude, you have no idea.

Steve and I were working yesterday afternoon and it was so sticky it was almost dangerous. Its been 90+ degrees for a couple of weeks now and it will stay that way till Sept.

Couple the 90 - 105 degree temps with 70%+ humidity and everything will run slow.................

Its Houston.................its been that way since the gringo came and will be that way long after we're gone.
