    Spark Plug Gap

I bought Champion Double Platnium spark plugs today.

Everything I've read says the 5.7 should have a .044 gap, but these come pre-gapped at .045.

Does this matter? Does the plug make a difference? Should I go wtih the Champion pre-set gap or tighten it up to .044?

0.001" won't make any difference. leave them alone. gapping platinum plugs can scrape the precious metal from the electrode and severely shorten plug life.
Izzy pics money talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"

    Thanks for the advice.

I thought it was too small to matter, but always better to ask.
