Sound Clips of exhaust drone anyone????

Does anyone have sound clips of exhaust drone on the 5.7L engines. There are several exhaust systems that I have heard sound clips of but they usually say they have exhaust drone. I like the sound of Corsa exhaust but the price tag is a bit out of my range right now though it is claimed to cancel out the drone. For that price I hope so!

I am curious to hear how bad drone really sounds and what system you are running.

Thanks again for the help in advance.

    Thanks Tyrant,
The SLP Loud Mouth 2's sound awesome! This is the sound I am going for but the drone sounds pretty bad. In your opinion is the drone tolerable?

My buddy told me the only way around the drone is to drive in autostick mode all the time. Do you do this or do you just live with the drone.

Also how much were the SLP's?

well the MDS drone for me is tolerable its the heavy bass sound that comes at around 2000RPM thats a PITA.

the problem is that the trunck acts like a big empty room and magnifies the sounds at that RPM i was thinking of a simple fix of adding some sound deadning materials to the floor of the trunk and hope to fix that problem .
and yes driving in autostick essentially stops MDS from activating and you wont get that drone.
the SLP's LM2 were 629.99$ from Tbyrne motorsports, great bunch of people, great service from Carol.
also alhough expensive it looks like the CORSA and Zoomer exhausts eliminate the MDS drone and save you from that hassle but offcourse they are 400 too 500$ more than the SLP.

I had FlowMaster 40's on my lil 3.5L V6 and it was so bad that the 500w (at the time) system could not compete. Went with the Dynomax not bad sound. Damaged it and just put on FM50 Delta Flow. I can only speak for these 3. 40 NUTS drone, DynoM barely, FM50 nice balance.

My Coupe has a 484ci Hemi and 3 1/2" exhaust with Flowmaster 40s.

The "drone" coming out of my Magnum R/T with BB tips is pretty well nothing comparatively....?

My Chickee is used to big block MoPars with LOUD exhaust systems, I think the drone is a problem on a scale of what you can tolerate, as we can tolerate alot. She loves her 7db tips, she doesn't think they drone much at all. She wouldn't mind louder!

I think my biggest problem with drone is not the sound but the frequency it generates usually cause a lot of interior rattles.

I used to have an 88 Mustang GT with an H Pipe and 2 stage flow masters and used to get a lot of rattles in the car under certain frequencies. I know it is the price you pay for a tough sounding exhaust but I hoped there was a way around it without spending the big$$$ for Corsas. I was not aware that the zoomers had no drone.

Anyone with zoomers happy with them?

Still hooked on the price of $630 for the SLP's I heard they make very good exhaust systems and Tyrants sound clip sounded tough.

Mine don't, but they don't sound as aggressive as the SLP of course.

Depends on which kit you get and which suitcase (340hp or 350hp), or mufflers in place of the suitcase you have.

Drone, you will need a subwoofer to be able to hear it from a sound clip.

I am in the same situation. I want to upgrade but I fear the drone.

My brother installed the JBA System on his Charger RT. Sounds great at idle and WOT, but driving though the city there is a lot of drone at certain RPM's The drone is also evident at the legal speed limit, go up or down a few MPH and it is gone. Like you posted it isn't only the drone that is the problem, it is the frequency of the exhaust note that causes other items in the car to vibrate. I saw that when riding in my brothers car with the JBA. The vibrations cause more annoyance than the sound. My brother spent a lot of money on sound deeding material. He lined the entire trunk (floor, sides and the vertical part that separates the rear seats from the trunk) and also installed it under the floor mats in the rear seats. It helped reduce the interior sound and the drone a little, but the vibrations were still there.

My contribution to this post is to suggest that you stay away from the JBA's if interior noise and vibration is a concern to you. I only have video of the JBA's from the outside, and I must say they sound sweet.

I have also been looking at the Corsa's, but like you said they cost about twice as much as other systems. I am hoping to find a member in my area that has the Corsa's installed so I can catch a ride and see what they are like from the inside in person. Until then I can not justify the expense and hope they have found a way to eliminate the drone.
