what diablo version you running? 16 has idle surge. 17 corrected. Check for exhaust leaks. Leave more room to stop.

I had a similar issue with Diablo (running rev 18) I bumped my idle up by 50 rpm and no problem since..

with the canned 91 octane tune my idle was around 530.. too low, especially in the cold..

now it sits at 580 - 590 with the 50 rpm bump and is fine..

if you look in our forums there is a lottttt of people with the stall problem, just make a search for the word stall, and maybe you can find your awnser,
i had that problem when i was running stock, when i got the diablo i start playing with all the features to run my car as cool as posible (fan settings) and i rised the rpm of the car in idle (also thanks to diablo) 200 rpm up
that makes the car almost imposible to shut down.
i also run now, bigger headers, a CAI and a catch can, so...i can tell you exactly how i errased the problem but is gone
i used to stall twice a month

Like said above, that is an ongoing problem. I still think its some sorta vacuum leak, but it does get better by upping the idle a few.

I have the same problem at R18 with idle at 700.
get initial surge at startup and it wants to stall on a fast stop. normal stops no problem.

The idle RPM is definitely set to low out of the box. I bumped mine 100 rpm's with the DS even though I never had stall issues. But the idle surge you are describing before stall definitely scream vacuum leak. When you get that surge and you think it's about to stall start pumping that brakes, that should give you enough of a vacuum boost to keep it from stalling out. Good luck.

    KillerBee-
Do you have a cam or other mods? I have a cam with stage 2 and had the same problem. I raised the rpm's at idle in Park and in Drive. Never had a problem since.
    Good Luck.

the problem is in the tune. When you put a cam in the car, the vacume drops causing stalling. The tune should be revised to help offset that. The brakes on the car operate off of vacume also, so when you hit thee brakes hard enough and take all the vacume out of the engine, you will experience some stalling if you have an aftermarket cam. This is very normal and not Diablo related, but cam related. Your tune should be revised to help compensate for the loss of vacume with the cam.

catback comes off of the car, the system will work with some headers, but we do not have a list yet. The turbo works with all shorty headers.

I have this stalling problem myself and I don't have the Diablo yet just the SC. It is kind of a pain in the butt and I am hoping that with the Diablo and a good tune I won't have to be careful how fast I stop.
