well i had pacesetter headers on my past 2 cars, they were great, never had an issue with them.

i know on LS1tech alot of the gto guys dig them, there cheap, 3 year warranty, only downfall is you gotta use factory gaskets as they use cheal felpro types.

It says they are availible with their Armor-coat. Is it any good?

I know the pic does not represent our headers but I wonder if they look like that or if they come with Hi-Flo cats, which it didn`t say, or if you have to weld the exhaust up?

I say get em. Mopar gaskets are better than anything on the market anyway.

Just have them Jet Hot coated.

Yes, they make a Hi-Flow catted mid pipe that is sold seperately. Google the part number and you will find the mid pipe.

Well, my friend has an LS2 GTO and he has had pacesetter longtubes on for a year and a half with no issues. That is in the MD snow and salt too.

If they are easier to install than many of the other header system, I have the feeling people will be all over them for that price.

they wont be any easier... i dont know what that nonsense is about.

i see the main complaint being that they are 16ga carbon steel, not stainless.

i know its not as good, but honestly assess....---
if you have them coated, and live in the south with no snow/salt...
    will they really go bad?

Doesn't look like they have a collector that will bolt up to mid pipes. Some welding will be required, no?

Jet-Hot or any other ceramic coating isn't permanent, it chips and burns off over time. If the headers underneath aren't stainless, they'll eventually start to go. But forget about the outside for a minute! What about the inside? Eventually that's gonna rust from all the chemicals in the exhaust and the condensation every time you shut it down. Now you've got gnarly rough rusty primaries... yeah, glad you spent money for better flow, huh?

Have not heard anything about their brand leaking. Does say they require some welding to use them, and there's no way they include midpipes or cats for that price.

I dunno, I'm glad I paid what I did to get what I have.

just got off the phone with them, no welding needed, 100% bolt on.

the armor coat finish is very strong and they say it will def outlast the life of the car.

on my last car (neon) i had them for 4 years and the kit who has the car now is still using the header to this day. that was on the black steel finish, not even the armor coat. since the header gets so hot, rust and other contaminants really dont have time to sink it, esspecially if its a DD
