So, say you got a grand to spend, max, what would you get?

Currently I have a Mopar CAI, SP Phenolic Spacers and Flowmaster Mufflers with no reso's. The max I'm spending is a thousand dollars, and I want to get as much power out of it as I can. No nitrous though. Here is my thought.

180 T-Stat
Diablo Predator
CMR Tune.


Any better ideas? Thaks peoples! =)

Since your here in cali, like me, I'm a little sceptically on cam choices that might negatively effect our smog test but if your just doing a cam (no heads) I'd pick a HHP stage 1, PPP road warrior or a fri's patriots. All I believe are mild cams and would suite you well with stock heads.

ok um... hate to rain on the parade.. but you say a grand?
and your thinking about "diablo+cmr+tstat"?
well... you need a diablo... and a cmr... to run a cam... so you can subtract 15 bucks off your original idea with that tstat, and put that toward your cam..(and install?)

i thought i was going to try to do a cam install for under 2 grand.... yea that didnt happen..
next thing i knew i was doing an underdrive pulley and shaving my heads and a valve job "since they were gonna be off anyway".

if you can discipline yourself well.... youre lookin at a 2 grand bill for the cam and install and tune, considering oyu dont have a predator yet as well

now do it, i LOVE being cammed

If you pay full retail for all parts and labor, then no - $1000 won't get you there.

But there are many ways around full retail.
