    Roller Rockers?

Has anyone made them available yet? I can't stand my rockers, having some real problems with them being very loud, so i'm looking for an alternative.

    Thanks

I've been looking for them too. So far no luck. From what I understand the roller rockers would require other changes like different valve locks since the rollers would require more surface area. Anyway, I'm still looking.

I could have sworn they were available a while back but freakin crazy expensive....... I have not seen any one use them yet however, and with the money thrown around on this site some body would have them already.

Jesel has a super expensive setup which requires extensive machining ogf the head for them to fit. It is really a high buck race setup. Harland Sharp is working on a setup also, but from what I know it has a few issues that need to be resolved.

I have the first set out there. There was a re-design required to make them work properly and I've been waiting on the manufacture to complete the changes. It will not require changes to the retainer/valve or keepers. But it will require some grinding on the heads to clear the rocker and new valve covers.

OP, the rockers are not the issue. I don't know your build. Hopefully it doesn't require anything more than some new longer push rods. But I've also seen several sets of heads that were built incorrectly, valve stem height issues, wrong retainer and keepers. And of course, the best of the best, those BS Rev valves that cost many a guy a top and bottom end.

    Any pic"s???.

Yeah, Jesel has roller rocker's that go for $2,000+. Then you have to machine the block for oil passages to switch to solid lifters, Machine the heads to fit, mount, clear the roller rockers, Have custom push rods made, then you need a expensive set of tall valve cover's, $1,000? So I guess about 5,000$ for adjustable valve train and your good to go!

So far, no one has produced a running engine with the Jesel setup. When I say extensive modifications, I mean just that.

I have a suspicion that Arrington will be the first to get the Jesel deal to work. I have already ground a solid cam for one. It is installed, and the heads are torqued..................

Nothing broken, had the top end apart, put it back together and it was quite loud, took it apart again, driver side went completely silent when i retorque'd everything, but the passenger side still is loud. I talked to fargo about it and he said it happens quite often because the rockers are a pain to get torque'd correctly and not make noise.

Are you certain the oil passages are clean. Your discription is very odd. I have to say this, so please excuse me if it sounds like a stupid question. But are you aware our lifters are oiled through the rocker shaft, down the push rod. Did you inspect everything for any type of obstruction??. I ask only because of what you said about the driverside.

Sounds like you either have the wrong pushrods or the MDS lifters are not happy with how aggressive the cam lobes are.

I have non-mds lifters, i had a new cam put in a while back, ran fine with the push rod lengths i had, i had custom length pushrods from 402 made along with my little boy cam, then i went to a more agressive cam, ran completely fine for a while, had the top end apart one time and never sounded correctly after that.

Did you mix up the pushrods and maybe put the rockershafts on the opposite banks?
