I got an email from Superchips saying they were coming out with a Tirepaq. It had our cars listed, looks like it adjusts for gear ratios and tire size along with reading and clearing DTC's....

Worth a try but I'm not sure when....

    typhoon4x4,

It's right around the corner my friend. Diablomotorsports is in the process of completing their sport tuner that will out do the rest. Only a matter of time. The cost will be about $400.00. My buddy bought one off of Diablo for his Mach1 Mustang and it was night and day. The nice thing is that this tuner will be able to be updated off of their website when future mods are made.

Yeah. We want GEARS. Not tuning for existing gears.

Very true. Hopefully this won't take as long.

Well, here's hoping that diablo doesn't run into the same walls as others have. Tuning a ford and tuning a dodge aren't even in the same book - one is easy, the other isn't.

And Superchips already has the ability to dump new bits into the Flashpaq, that's not new or exciting, it's required.

Nobody is going to make affordable gear sets (nobody reputable that is) until the computer issue is addressed.

GSM has made some noise about axle gears, but as it stands, one would have to irreversibly disable the stability programs to make axle ratio changes work, and GSM's prices are about 3-4 time what a R&P set should be marketed at.

I doubt that large numbers of people are willing to do that. I know I'm not.

I agree, if it's proven that the software can be tweaked, then manufacturers will give a mroe serious look at manufacturing the gears themselves.

well timew will tell i still believe that the rear gears modded will throw our cars into the 11 maybe even lower.you can only have teh engie rev so hi to get the tires spinning we are going to hit the wall soon if not already.where we mod our cars and it just wont make th cars go faster.
