During my second trip to Cali., for Spring Festival #2. I was walking the grounds looking/drooling at all the beautiful LX's on hand. When I came across the hottest engine bay (hands down) on any LX.
What did my eyes see, a custom dual CAI built by the owner of the car, Randy's Way (ChargerForums). I usually do my own modding but when I saw the pristine work that Randy did on his dual CAI and after talking with Randy at length. I think he knew he would be hearing from me after Spring Festival.
My modding hat goes off to Randy. I am now the proud pappa of not 1 but 2 Randy's Way Dual CAI's.
Look what arrived at my doorstep last Friday.
Shake and Bake....That just happened!!
That's right, #2 & #3 Randy's way dual CAI. I started modding on the Super Bee's engine bay first, but the Magnum is next and I couldn't think of a better way to start the Magnum's engine bay modding, than with Randy's saweet dual CAI.
#3 Randy's way dual CAI is for my Super Bee. But it is not installed yet. It will be once my intake manifold and other metal parts are back from the powder coater. The Super Bee is all torn down right now and the dual CAI could not be installed....yet!

I really, really like that!
Definitely the way I would go if I happened to own an SRT.
You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture, just get people to stop reading them.
freakin awesome ricky bobby, randys engine bay has to be one of the best in my opinion
Sweet lookin intakes!!!!!
But does it make it run any better than a standard aftermarket CAI?
If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?
It looks really cool (pun intended!) for a dual (rhyme intened) intake for pete sake (ok, I'm done)... but what's with the squared off notch to go over the window washer fluid neck? Why not just shorten the neck? It's really a long neck. I would think that would be preferable to the restriction of flow from that side.
Never thought about it before when I saw Randy's original pictures, etc. But if I were going to do that... I'd seriously consider cutting down the washer fluid neck.
Still in love with my first wife, and first car ('68 Charger)... Still have the wife!

These are pictures I took of Randy's at Spring Festival. They illustrate better why the knotch had to be cut in the pipe. It is to clear the ESP lines.

You can't cut down the washer fluid neck. The washer fluid box is gone. How else are you going to get the pipe down to the passenger corner and add the second filter. I am going to find a smaller washer fluid box and with Bo's help, install it in the rear of the wagon. I will do the same thing for the Bee.
