    4 different radiators exist...

    Base
    Towing Package
    SRT
    and Max Duty (overseas export)

As you go up that list each get deeper... Upgrading up to the SRT model is fairly simple, just need the hoses to go with them. The Max Duty one has special connectors that have to be made, they are not available in a way that will work.

Matt and i did the Max duty, which have totally different fittings and hoses, but mount right up in the same spot. they move the front condenser and trans. coolers forward about 1".

R/T hoses would not fit, but we both added the Police oil cooler at that time. I ended up using a Cool flex custom hose for the bottom to the Police oil cooler fitting, and a cut down Chevy hose on the top.

Not having a SRT (severe duty II)to compare to, I can't say if the hose diameter is the same as the R/T, but the core will be over twice as thick.

If anyone has a SRT radiator out of the car, and can take some inlet / outlet measurements, I can take them from my stock R/T system I removed and compare.

    PM me.

I called a dealer parts counter today and he confirmed using my vin# that my RT does indeed have the 5137 691AA standard radiator. He said he could only find listed one more and that must be the SRT radiator, part # 5137 692AA. I gave him the severe duty II part number 5170 742AA and he was able to find it, but said he had no info on what it came in. He had no info on the Max Duty radiator even after I gave him the part #.

I'm considering pulling my 3,000 lb. boat from NC to Fl, a distance of 590 miles and I am a little worried about overheating. Maybe, I should buy the 5137 692AA Severe cooling radiator and install it first.

The core difference is 1". The stock RT rad is 7/8" thick and the SRT is 1-7/8". The SRT unit bolts right in no problem, with no other changes, I've done it.

Mopar Super Center, or the Mopar Store can get you any of the 4.

FYI, The Severe Duty I radiator was from the Police model or those that had the towing package.... SO it would be sufficent for towing but I would check prices on them, if you are spending the money, i would suggest going with the SRT radiator (Severe Duty II)...

R/T with SRT Radiator - Hoses?

For those that upgraded to the SRT Radiator, you used SRT upper and lower hose, correct?

    Reason I'm confused is this...

    Upper hose, charger, magnum, 300, 5.7l, w/o engine oil cooler 06-07 $19.80 $12.87

    Upper hose, charger, magnum, 300, 5.7l, w/engine oil cooler 06-07 $30.85 $20.05

    Upper hose, charger, magnum, 300, 6.1l 05-08 $31.85 $20.70

Since the 6.1 listing does NOT mention an oil cooler, (because it WILL have one? Not an option?) I'm just wanting to know if there is an issue with the hoses.
