Question for the exhaust experts

I am going to install a custom magnaflow setup, however i want it to be rather quiet (the wife doesn't like very loud exhaust)

I will replace the muffler in the middle with a magnaflow 11385. Since i want it to be quiet, i will not completele delete the rear resonators but just replace them with another magnaflow free flow muffler, however i still don't know which one to choose.

I have two options,

1. Oval muffler (like the one used in regular dual kits)



2. Round muffler


I know that the dual muffler would make the setup sound all right but i don't like the look it gives to the car. On the other side I think that the 4" round muffler would look way more better but don't know if it would be as good in reducing the noise/drone

go with #1

reason, the magnaflow v6 dual kit they make runs those style mufflers. i have the round one on the back side of my j-body for side exit exhaust. they work well, but the #1 choice you have, will keep it all mellow, but give a decent tone when on the gas,

the 4x9 oval, quite simply has more sound absorbing material.

the round ones arent as solid in reducing noise.
