We want to strap the car down and get tuning asap just as bad as you guys want the predator in your car!

I have been playing phone tag with some great people over at Diablosport and finally today at Noon I was able to have a small conference call with them. Our conversation consisted of various topics including vendors doing group buys on something thats not even available, possible glitches, reasons for delays, and what to look forward to when it does get released. It was stressed to Diablo that we are not interested in selling 100+ of their units, cause frankly its going to be hard, however we are interested in working DIRECTLY with Diablosport and helping show the results their Predator will do on the street! We have requested to be the very first CMR Tuner for the new DiabloSport Predator for the HEMI. We should have an answer (proposal) completed by Wednesday of next week. I am very excited to know we will FINALLY be able to tune these cars and get other LX owners who are not on the forums interested in building their cars and moving this industry forward the right way, not just selling parts for a few bucks...

Finally I would like to add a personal opinion on Diablo.... After talking to them I can safely assure you they are not delaying this item because of manufacturering issues, problems with software or anything like that... They just want to make sure that when you get your product from the Delivery Man, its ready to work with your vehicle and you dont have to run inside and try updating it like alot of people had to do with SuperChips and half the time the update never worked... I highly respect Diablo for this...

Stay Tuned for more updates from us in regards to actually USING the Predator as a tuning device, not just something you buy for a canned tune

Which is exactly the reason that the day after I get my predator, I'm coming down to you guys for a tune.

    Great work James

I would highly suggest not doing so... Our dyno is at almost absolute conditions for tuning... we are 80 ft above sea level and then depending on humidity and temp, the tune may not work in your car. That is the purpose of getting the vehicle tune. I am not ruling it out, however there will have to be some huge waivers

No ideas... Remember no products are even released yet

Also remember... CMR tuners for Ford and GM will have to update to HEMI when its released... I think for the first few months its going to be scarce tuners for the HEMI

I would DEFINITELY suggest the high-flow cats.

As far as the Diablo tuner....

Folks I/we (FLXC) have been involved with getting Diablosport as many cars as they need for the various testing that is going on. (I lost track of the cars that are currently being used as "test subjects." )

However, I have seen the HUGE amount of work these guys are doing...There are SO many variables that can be adjusted it is amazing! We have some pretty complicated computer systems on these cars! Timing, spark, advance, retard, pressures, etc etc etc...these are ALL being FINE TUNED! All I CAN say, from my VERY limited experience with watching a tuning-guy at work, is....WOW! There is an awful lot of thought and attention to detail going on at the Diablo campground! If you think spark tables, and timing advance are the ONLY things they are working on, you are sadly mistaken!
These guys are putting in some serious overtime! I've been there (numerous times) well into the night!

*I think* they are doing the *right* thing with this "release". They are geting it done right..... Now, whether the mass public will take advantage of ALL the various aspects that can be adjusted- I doubt it! - there is just SO much that can be 'adjusted'. Therefore Diablo has to acknowledge the "average car guy" out there and create "canned tuned" for that "closet mechanic" while also providing an incredible tool for the serious hard-core crowd - that typpically hangs out here!

Patience with Diablosport...and you will see an incredible tool for our cars!!

As far as a company charging your card prematurely...That I hafta agree with.

Anyways...... there it is...My thoughts on this thread.

Gil, Lemme know if you need help with that mid-pipe install!!!

And I'll see some of ya' at Moroso this Saturday for a Diablo tuned run!!!

    to the rest....its FRIDAY!!!!! WWOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOO!!!!
