ok i made a little mistake

and that mistake was ? well when i replaced the r/t injectors with srt injectors ,when it ran super lousy i thought it was because it was to big of an injector.well i returned the r/t injectors back and still did the same thing ,of course at this point i was frekin out thinking i f*&^ed something up badly.thats when a friend just showed up out of the blue and we where running over the engine ,he asked me why this cable was just hanging out .what was that cable ,im glad you asked ,that cable was the throttle body cable.it was at this point i became rather vulgar ill skip that part.it was my fault yes i forgot to reconnect it ,that was because the cable slowly snaked its way back to its original position making it look like it was connected anyways .so whats a guy to do well of course redo the mod.so there i go all over again i wouldnt be able to sleep not knowing for sure.well i was a bit suprised id le was a little i mean a little rough and some very little black smoke .enough of course to require switching but an interesting thing happened and that was reving the engine it smoothed out and black smoke went away and for a little bit when returning too idle for a second or 2 stayed white then went back to rich.so im guessing cant say for sure though but when i do the heads and cam it should run good.simply because the r/t injectors must be right on the border line with performance still enough to do the job but not enough to top end.im gonna try doing the mod at the track when we go down to etown again at the track and see what happens.

I was kinda under the impressin that unless you where running a huge valve port and valves then you wouldn't need to setup to larger injectors...Aren't you gonna run the econo heads?

yep with a bumped up compresion 10.6 also the sidewinder.after there installed ill reinstall the srt plugs and see what happens im guessing they should work better since there is going to be larger amounts of air it should lean out enough to make srt plugs work better.i was encouraged by the wot test i did that actually made the mix leaner enough to rid the black smoke .theory being that if it was way to rich even at wot it would still run rich and eject black smoke as it did at idle.of course its only a theory and testing needs to be done .in a worst case senario theyll end up in the parts for sale section.heck after switching the plugs 4 times i can do it in my sleep now lol....

There was a long discussion around here about duty cycle, and how the 5.7 injectors are no where near the point of going static.

Was nice meeting you and your bro at E-Town... I was the guy that told you about fuse 11.

unless your ecu or tuner is capable of making the pcm understand there are srt injectors, then it will not run right, and remember that if your running to rich your gonna wash those rings right out!. NA cars rarely need larger injectors from what the factory supplies with just bolt ons. if anything youll gain from a higher fuel pressure rather than a larger injector on these fuel setups.
