install will be about 12-14 hours. Our 392 stroker shortblock cost $5699 for the Indy 392 and $6599 for the PPP 392. Since you already have milled heads, I would go with the Indy 392 since it is a lower compression 392 and when you put the two together, compression will be a reasonable 10.1-10.3. The Indy 392 uses the callies crank, callies rods, and mahle piston and also comes with ARP main and head studs. Here is a dyno sheet from our last 392.

He went to the track and was trapping between 114.6-115.8 mph in the 1/4 mile.

Seems like the stroker is the best option on that list... ie, the least likely to cause you trouble or heartache down the road. Why add complexity to get the same performance you can out of an engine alone? Plus, that leaves the door open to add one of the other options you listed further down the road after your wallet recovers and you get used to the ludicrous power :-P

Same opinion here...let Andy hook you up with the best options out from PPP...the most support, the best people, all tuning options...It a no brainer...You'll thank yourself and PPP when it's done.

The budget may getcha, little things like gaskets, fluids, head bolts ect ect...then the labor...it's a little over budget, but close i think...I still think it's the best way though...your very close.

Figure for head gaskets, head bolts, crank bolt, windagetray pan gasket........and if it's a shortblock a new oil pump and timing chain assembly........about $350 worth of extra parts.

Always plan on 20% more than initial quotes. Never comes out as cheap or whatever as initially estimated.

well, you can reuse your heads, and swap out for a bigger cam to meet the cubes.just do a shortblock and you can keep it in your budget pretty easy.

Personally, I'd go with the stroker first. You can always boost it later if you wish. Just my .02
