no increase with CAI on Hemi?

I've been hearing that the Hemi Ram owners are not seeing any hp increasse with the cold air intakes... just a bunch of noise.

    any thoughts?

Don't own a Magnum, but was here looking for pictures of the intake system.

I have installed a CAI on my RAM, and it definitly makes a noticable diffrence. I just wish I went with the aFe CAI, it gives 10 more HP than the K&N, K&N gives 10hp gain.

You should get more power with a CAI, however the challenge is that the HEMIs are Speed Density Systems, not Mass Air Flow. So the computer has no direct way to know it is geting more air and adjust. It does have an oxygen sensor in the exhaust and will adjust the fuel curve if it sees too much oxygen.

Not as flexible to mods. We need to reprogram the fuel curve to get maximum benefit.

I guess to answer the question (s) requires a BEFORE and AFTER dyno after making the CAI mods or any other mods.

Anyone who has done this please post some numbers. Those of you thinking of doing the CAI or exhaust mod, please get your car DYNOED before you make the change.

I'm already scheduling mine for a before dyno shot. I'm currently thinking to change oil to synthetic sometime after 6K miles of breakin mileage and then dyno. I'm at 3500 right now.

The more examples we have the better, since all cars are not built exactly alike and more samples will give us better statistics.

I've already baseline dyno'd my car and will be doing so one more time with the new exhaust before we put the K&N CAI (which should only be a few more weeks!). This way I can tell what I gained with exhasut over stock then again with exhaust and CAI. Then I'll do it again with the 100 shot of nitrous...lol...just kiddin...I wish.
