New "super secret" TCM installed

Is this right?? And since you seel all of them how about a small explaination of each and what one offers that the others don't. A TCM is my next mod for sure but there are so many options!!

Make that 5! The Mopar performance TCM should be out shortly also......

Although it is not a seperate module there is some excellent feedback about the results from SRT8 TSB 18-031-05 reflash. Is that 6 options?
I am wanting a new TC and do not know which option to go with.

Yesterday morning I had a feeling about the SC tuner writing to the TCM as well after reading a thread by CoolVanilla... I did not return to stock programming BEFORE installing the TCM. So in essence, everything that I've felt so far is the new TCM. However, to be sure I wanted to return to stock to get some more feel for the TCM. I was afraid that plugging in the SC and telling it to revert to stock would screw up the new TCM. I called Josh yesterday and had Jason contact SC (I tried calling them but could not speak to someone in the know). Jason called me last night to confirm my fear that plugging in the SC right now with the new TCM would definitely screw it up and could possibly make the car undriveable. In a few I am going to go outside and swap back to my stock TCM, return to stock settings, then plug back in the new TCM and start from there. I'm going to take some video's of the EVIC so we can see for sure exactly the new shift points with the stock settings and TCM, as well as settings with the SC.

Okay, reinstalled the stock TCM and set the car back to stock. Reinstalled the Stage 2 TCM. Waiting on the wife to get home so I can go do some "spirited" driving...

It's getting very interesting...

We're ready to release our Street version for all of the cars but this new version, our Street & Strip version, that TorRed #1179 is testing is proving a little bit more quirky. It seems to run on the 2006 Charger models but we can't get it to convert over to Jason's 2005 for some reason unknown to us. I believe Jason put up a post and what we need now are some vehicles that are looking to get the TCM installed to come in for testing to check compatibility. We'll cut anyone interested in having us install their TCM a very nice deal and we'll know right away whether or not our new TCM is compatible as soon as we hook it up and plug in the StarScan. If your car does not work with this newer TCM we will install the street version so your visit is not wasted. We're looking to try a wide variety of 5.7L and 6.1L LX's and Jeep SRT-8's. If you're interested in coming in for the TCM, give us a call.

And if you do come in and you have a 5.7L that has a Superchips tune on it, you WILL have to return your car to the stock tune first. Superchips confirmed that their tuner does touch part of the TCM's programming and our fear is that if you put the TCM on the car without first removing the Superchips then installing it later, the Superchips will not allow you to return back to the factory stock settings or worse, lock you up.

I went out last night with the car set to stock and the new stage 2 TCM in place. Must have police night here as everywhere I went there they were. Unfortunetely I don't have Jason's horseshore with me so I had to take it somewhat easy. My findings so far are as follows:

The new stage 2 TCM is to aggressive for stock settings. It almost immediately hits the rev limiter, banging from 1-2, then going to limp from 2-3 before finally shifting.

My initial impression from coming home Tuesday night are the same. Even at stock computer settings, this thing just flat out runs like a bat outta he!!.

I think I am going to run down to Capital today to get a couple of runs in. The weather here in MD is perfect today. I'll give another update when I get back. My best run at Englishtown on the 18th was 13.88 and with a crappy reaction and 60' time. The weather today is about the same here, but sunny so we'll see. Time to throw the SC back on there and she what she'll do....

Can you explain this a little more.

Why does it hit the limiter?? loses traction and can't shift fast enough??

Whats with the limp between 2-3, did we move the shift hesitation up a gear??

This just doesn't sound like an improvment from the way you describe it.

With all this going on with all these TCM's I got out today and did some more experimenting And I video'ed it maybe some of you guys could analyze and give some feedback I would apreciate it.This is Heat Stage 1 been in the car about a week,here is the link
