    Nag 1 Help

I might be up grading my torque converter Sun. Does any one know the measurement from the bottom trans pan to the top of the filler tube. I got 32" but for some reason I'm only at 5mm when i measure the dipstick.I should be at 49mm 120 F. I just want to make sure I'm at the bottom. If I am at the bottom then I'm low on fluid. I'm also using the temp chart and I have a trans temp installed to see my temps. I didn't purchase the miller tool, that thing is a little pricey for a dipstick. So I made my own out of a flat fish tape($15.00) and I can still use the fish tape.Pic is a little blurry on the 10 mm to 80mm on fish tape dipstick.

As long as you've got drag radials, why not! I did the converter first, couldn't hook up but sure could leave some rubber behind!

I have the Miller Tool and I measured 33.5 inches from the pan bottom to the top of the filler tube.

Engine was off and cold, I got 80mm of fluid on the dipstick - I recently had the tranny flushed and a new filter put in at the dealership (Starling).

BTW, it was cool this morning in Florida and the darn hood almost got me when the hood struts couldn't keep the hood up! SLAM!!!!!! The sucker almost got me. LOL

Is our trans like all the others? You have to have the engine running to check the trans fluid???
It should also be warmed up, right???

I bought the Miller Tool ($$$$) thinking that you could leave it in all the time - NOT!!!

    Hope this helps you,

    Bob

    PS
I forgot to mention that when I was pushing the Miller tool in, you hit a "tight" spot a few inches before you hit bottom - must be a tube bend or something. Maybe that is throwing you off, you were not at "true" bottom. Push a little harder, maybe that is why they use a cable and not a flat fish tape.

Hey Bob,I'm glad someone posted up with a miller tool and took a measurement. Now that the fish tape is cut done the middle it went further.33.5 is what I'm showing now. Ya there is a tight spot about 3" before bottom.Ya and my hood came down on me last nite too.lol I don't know if are trans is like others and yes it should be warmed up.I have the temp chart and a trans temp gauge in my ride so I can measure at the specific temp. Thanks again, Andre
