    mod for uniting fuel rails

hi there guys i noticed on track day a few guys had moded there fuel rails up front to merge the rails so the front cylinders wont lean out or at least thats the theory.i like the theory and would like to do it on my 5.7 .im also getting a spare 6.1 fuel rail as part of a package deal i got so i figured might as well give it a shot.anyone with any ideas.i was thinking cutting of the front rails get a flex hose and weld a threaded nipple on the rail to connect the 2 rails ? also if its doable would a stronger fuel pump be needed ? if a pump would be needed where could i get one part number etc.thanks in advance for any help.im gonna get into the 11's dammit next year if it kills me .

the fuel rails are always under psi.... not all your injetors open at the same time..... i dont see how this is going to help you????? no cyl. should ever run lean due to fuel rail.... ( stock inj.) now, if you have BIG inj. ( or alot on NOS) you might need to swap out the stock pump to mantain proper psi. in the fuel rail....

No gains; I don't have the time to go into it, but I'm sure others here can work out the pressure-drop from center-feed on each rail to the furthest injector port. You will find the pressure difference negligeable.

Simple fluid dynamics: pipe I.D., head pressure, rate of flow, and finally material viscosity.
