so i know everyone loves rev hammer and all...but honestly, i want to know how you guys feel about your cai setup before you had a hammer. any problems? lol and if you never had a hammer. how do you feel about your current. i was lookin into a mopar at first. but didnt see any for a 5.7. then i started seeing the threads about the air hammer...looks rediculous! search isnt working by the way.

As far as sound goes, it gives it a deeper tone than stock, be better with headers and new exhaust. By the way what year is your Magnum?

no i havent...looked into it and sounds like a good mod. im guessing it gives a nice throaty sound when you get on the throttle. prolly make the new intake sound even better if i could just figure out which one to get

Mopars on both my RT and SRT. They sound good, look good (though a little on the tame side), and make the throttle response a lot snappier. The Airhammer is the only intake proven to yield horsepower gains all by its lonesome, but it sure ain't cheap. I got both my Mopar's used for around $200 each.

Hmm... just to clarify a couple of points:

    • There is a Mopar intake for the 5.7L.
    • The stock box with the resonator removed kicked the crap outta all other intakes on a non modified RT UNTIL the AFE2 and AirHammer showed up on the scene.
    • If sound is what you're after, essentially all of the open element intakes sound 'good'. Some are deeper in tone, but all are certainly louder.
    Hope that helps!
