Magnaflow Catback installed today!!!!!!!!!

First impressions are that it is louder, but not obnoxious. Mellow and deep tone.
I can now hear when it's in MDS mode. Sounds strange.

I would live to compare to someone's Borla.

Anyway, time to field some questions and post the pics and video.

The video was taken on my kodak still camera and the image was compressed while leaving the sound. I'm not sure what you'll get out of these but have fun.

You can definately hear the borla makes a deeper sound. Doesn't seem much louder just a different bassier note. Sounds pretty good. I hope you like it.

How is it cruising on the highway at 65-75 mph? The Magnaflow setup I made with just two mufflers in the center and tips in rear was way too loud on the highway. I could feel it resonate in the gas pedal and rear hatch. I put my factory resonators back on the rear so my kids could hear. Your system looks really nice though. If I could only find out it fits the AWD - RT

Sounds like you've got a real problem with resonance. Not so in this case. You can hear the exhaust and it sounds kinda strange when it kicks INTO 4 cylinder. I'm gonna give it a week or so before I make a final decision.

I sure wish someone on Phoenix had the Borla cat back so I could compare.

Sound works fine for me on the web page. I edited these clips with Quicktime 6.5.1

BTW, was/were your window(s) open during the after videos taken FROM inside the car?

OK, I downloaded them and it worked... don't know why it wouldn't play the sound through my browser. Great sound, wish I had the money to pick up a set before my big Thanksgiving road trip.

Here's the problem Chicano. What do I compare it to? I had a '99 Chevy Pickup and put a Gibson cat back on it. There was a definte exhaust drone on it which I just had to get used to. This one is much better about what sound comes INTO the cabin.

The car with the stock exhaust is so quiet that anything you put back there is gonna make noise, but there is no objectional sound FROM this system. Especially when I hear about people not being able to take their family on a trip because of the noise. The strangest part is when it switches to 4 cyl. In fact, it makes more noise in 4cyl than when running on 8.

Short and long of it is that I feel the system does not have a drone when cruising on the highway. Anymore than that will require me to compare with someone else's. I'm gonna be hooking up with Billapex soon and he cut in Magnaflow mufflers INTO his stock system.

yeah i guess some comparisons are in order....i haven't heard your sound clips yet (i have to wait till i get home). Although i guess i'm not too worried about drone in the Borla and Magnaflow systems. My reasoning being that with a completely engineered system like these drone will be non-existant or very minimal due to the R&D already being done compared to a custom setup were you do the R&D yourself. Either way i look forward to hearing yours when i get home FROM work. How long did the shipping take and cost? I'm assuming you went through highhorseperformance?

I ordered it last Wed. or Thurs and it showed up This Wed. I saw through tracking that is was on the truck an extra day. (I guess you get low priority being ground service).
