    Magnaflow Catback INSTALLED!!!!

Hey guys, you read right!!! We just installed Magnaflow's prototype catback exhaust. It got here this morning on the FedEx truck. The welds were a little rough looking because it was not a production model, they plan on sending us a nice one when they do go INTO production. It was a crazy easy install and the fitment was perfect. We have a couple of tidbits of advise for them though before they go INTO production, the mufflers need to tilt up INTO the bumper much lie the factory ones do. Currently they are perfectly horizontal and you can see them FROM the rear and side of the car. We will take pictures in the morning of it installed, I left my camera sitting on my desk when we left the shop tonight so I didn't get any install pics.

Install took 45 minutes tops with air tools and a lift, doing another might not even take 30 minutes now that we know all the tricks.

its got a long muffler where the other 1.5x2.5" trashcan was and reg sized mufflers just infront of the tailpipes. Not sure about highway drone, drove it to work and home and work and home. Just got the back seat back in last night and I noticed no noise this morning

    prototype exhasut pics

Did you get any pics of this? Don't know if I can wait for the production version and want to buy the parts and build it myself. I'll have to pay a exhaust shop then. If I wait, I can do it in my garage.
    Thanks

I'm currently trying to decide between Borla and Magnaflow and i'm very interested in your views on performance improvement and drone.

Borla is too quiet, they claim only a 1.5DB increase in sound, Magnaflow, on the other hand, sounds like it's got guts.

Sounds like a lot of new exhausts being installed.
I'm holding out for the Gibson Performance exhaust. They did the prototyping on my RT for week. The owner was very happy with driving the prototype system, back to stock right now. Unfortunatly, the production system won't be ready until the first of the year. I will ask for the Dyno results before and after files to post!

I've got a Borla here that I need to install to compare, not incredibly happy with how the Magnaflow looks installed, the mufflers SHOW real bad below the bumper. Its a prototype however, not sure if the production will SHOW like these do

bobf has the production catback on his magnum and FROM the picture it doesn't stick out as much....more then the OEM ones but not as much as the prototype.
