    Lets Talk Turbo Part 2

OK I WAS WATCHING HORSEPOWER TV .THE EPISODE WAS CALLED VETTE ON STEROIDS(NOT THE MLB KIND) .I KNOW WHAT DOES A VETTE HAVE TO DO WITH CHARGERS.THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE STS TURBO IS 90 DAYS AWAY FROM BRINGING THERE KIT TO MARKET.THE KIT IS A REAR MOUNTED SYSTEM SO I WAS INTRIGUED .I WENT TO STSTURBO.COM AND THEY HAD A LINK IF YOU WANTED TO LEND YOUR VEHICLE AS A MULE CAR. SO NATURALLY I VOLUNTEERED I GOT A REPLY TODAY THASTATED DONT MOD YOUR CAR DONT DO ANYTHING LEAVE YOUR EXAUST STOCK WHERE GETTING READY TO BRING THE CHARGER KIT TO MARKET IN 90 DAYS. SO THERE IS a glimmer of hope out there .the kit on the vette was impresive .it netted 200 hp increase and 200 plus in torque and a 4 mpg increase.oh the vette was tuned by guess what , a diablo tuner.know i dont know the answer to those of us with moded exausts.so i guess a wait and see attitude is in order.i just thought id share it with all of you .they told me it was a secret so i dont know they told me lolololol

The Vette system is also a twin turbo package. There are more and more C5 and C6 Corvettes that are getting this system installed and so far, seems pretty reliable. Looking forward to STS coming out with something for the LX's.

I saw that about a month ago. I don't like the placement though. I burn alot of rubber, and alot of it ends up inside of that vent.

Not to mention the fact that if you were rear ended, even lightly, you could probably kiss both those turbos goodbye.

Here's a couple that you posted. I thought their website said that they didn't use an intercooler though!

yeah i thought so too but the show said you didnt have to but to increase power you add the cooler.well see how it works out they are still 90 days or so from release so a lot can change in that time.

I talked with a local dealer and he said you should be able to get a basic set up for around 4K. This is a single turbo set up using a TE-62 turbo. Of course, this is without an intercooler. For somebody looking for a turbo set up, it looks like a pretty nice starter kit. Also, you can also add the intercooler later.
