    Kooks O2 extension fitment problems??

Wondering if anybody else has found that the front O2 extensions that Kooks provides didn't fit their sensors or car harness without some creative use of a Dremel. Please chime in if you had problems. Trying to source different connectors from the manufacturer, but might need some support. Thanks!!!

OK... since you just did yours you might remember... the O2 sensors have plugs w/ keyways on them, one opposite the latch and one on each side. On some connectors the keyways on the sides are directly opposite each other and the keyway on the bottom is centered. On others, the keyways on the sides are offset, one higher than the other, and the keyway on the bottom is offset to one side. Do you remember which way yours went?

On Eric's '06 Charger SRT, the front sensors used the connectors w/ the offset keyways, whereas the extensions from Kooks were the symmetric type. Kooks told me that the OEM's change it up without warning, this isn't uncommon, so just use a Dremel to fix the problem. I'm anti-dremel on a car with $55,000 invested!!!!!!! But that's the specific question, do you recall which shape your connectors were, and did they match your car.

Here's what my extensions look like...

The two front ones are black connectors, the two rear are one black (Left) and one grey (Right).

I'm missing the red locking clip off the grey connector. That's the way I got 'em!

I didn't have any trouble with the connectors being wrong, but my passenger side front extension is too short by about 3 inches.

Are you sure you didn't get the car side of the connector wrapped around something or stuck when you fed the header through??? Or are the O2 pigtails different lengths where maybe you could swap them???

I got mine to work, I just had to do a little tape removal from the wiring cluster to get a little extra length. I didn't even use the rear extensions, they were long enough without them.

OK OK But what about the codes??? I have the same headders and ever since I keep getting Rear 02 heater cur high on both rear 02s. I used the preditor to disable the rear 02s and still got codes, Then I turned them back on and disabled the rear 02 heaters and still throw the codes.

Im lost here, Im getting tired of erraseing codes every day!!!!!

^^That's an issue to take up with Diablo, I don't know (but I'll soon find out) how they deal w/ the O2 codes. But pick up some spark plug antifoulers and use them to pull the rear O2's a little farther out of the exhaust flow, that might do the trick for ya.
