    JBA Mids and Catback

Has anyone done a before and after dyno of this combo? I hope to be installing this setup next week and was curious of the power improvement I will be getting. From the numbers I have seen on the JBA and HHP sites, it looks like I should be getting a 20hp 30ft/lb improvement

I plan to do a full install write up for the KB as well, any tips/tricks to be aware of ahead of time? I will be doing the install on ramps/jacks.

I doubt the numbers will be that high. Realistically, I would say about 12 hp with that combo total.

But I would like to see the dyno results as well.

I don't see a flashpaq listed in your sig, I consider the jba high-flow cats, the AirHammer and a flashpaq to be the minimum first performance mods for an RT.

I can't say a real number for what you'll expect to see, but I can say that my RT has dynoed 319hp and 375tq.

    Your mileage may vary...

I didn't do the cats but I did the cat-back first and then the headers and here are the dyno run charts...

    Stock: 282.5hp & 325tq

    Cat-back: 292.5hp & 331tq

    Cat-back with Headers: 306HP & 357tq

    Hope this helps you out.

Nice numbers, and I notice from your mod list that you have more to come!

Did you trade out your JBA system in favor of the Mopar longtubes and catback?

I had time to modify my signature this week, but my JBA shorties and midpipes with hi-flow cats won't be installed until next week. Can't wait to see that difference in torque you were showing with yours. (plus another 12 from the cats)

Yup, I no longer have the JBA set-up in my car... gave it way (labor exchange) to two different SOCalLX members and I know have all Mopar stuff... click on the link and then on the folder marked "Mopar Parts" ... you can see what I have now with dyno charts also...

JBA Shorties - great midrange, crisp throttle response

Wow, do I love these headers and mid-pipes.

Throttle response is crisp and quick, the midrange has noticeably more power and the sound is great. Not louder exactly, much certainly much more defined.

I love cruising around 35 mph in 4th gear and hearing the precise cylinder firing.

    Good stuff.

the top two center bolts are!@#$%^&*^%$#s using the jba supplied header bolts, contact totally stainless for some of their 8mm header hex head bolts and the job will be sooooooooooo much easier.

See below on the pull I got with my JBA system. Temps and humidity was awful so my results could be better. It was the first dyno to get a baseline before I install the cam and heads. But I had the pleasure to meet InferAl for the first time and a lot of other LX enthusiast.
