Hemi is "better than an LS6"

anyone see the 3/04 issue of Pop Hot Rodding?

they do a complete review on the 5.7 Hemi and say that it has more potential than the Chevy LS6/LS1.

They attribute this to the lightweight hollow camshaft, the shorter pistons, and, of course, the combustion camber design. I'm sure the 2 plugs per cylinder helps a bit. :P

hopefully, the aftermatket support is just as good. :?

I bet that is gonna get the Chevy boys all in a twist.

You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture, just get people to stop reading them.

I think with all the publicity that the Hemi is getting (b/t the commercials and the legend), aftermarket support is (hopefully) a given.

That'll make for some ground shaking SRT-8's and "C"'s. I can't wait to see some tuner companies get their hands on them.

until the hemi's computer is truely hacked, ls1's will reign supreme. Think about it. If you could mod your car AS much as you wanted. Our biggest option is a supercharger with less then steller numbers. Ever see a cammed supercharged ls1 down the strip. They make some numbers us LX guys dream of.

The only problem is the Hemi does not like aftermarket products like the LS6. The potential for the Hemi may be better but in an aftermarket sense the LS6 is better.

For now.... The New HEMI will be THE engine to have very soon. It'll be the go to engine in rods and customs and DCX will sell a stinkload more!
    You'll see. Its coming..
