Got rid of the rear mufflers and tips!

I wasn't happy with the exhaust and overall sound of my Magnum after I bought it so I took it to a local exhaust shop and had them cut off the rear mufflers and small tips and weld on some straight through pipes and larger chrome Ractive tips. Here are some pictures, let me know what you think:

I would love to know about the sound. How is it at just sitting there running. Mild excelleration, wild excelleration, highway cruiseing speeds of 55, 65, 75, and 85. Did the changeing of the pipe effect HP or Torque? It looks awsome but would love to hear all the little details... Thanks.

Sure looks nice! Left in the stock mufflers and took out the resonators. Hmmmm, maybe that won't cause a "drone". And someone took the time to paint the pipes! Makes it look all that more pro. Good job!

That's what I plan on doing, get magnaflow mufflers, remove the resonators and put jumbo tips 3x18 straight thru, or 4x12 resonated tips available at: www.usdieselparts.com

I removed the resonators and put pipes in with the old tips reused. i replaced the sutcase muffler with two flowmaster 40 series muffs and it sounds AWSOME! it has a slight drone at REAL lite throttle and again at 80mph

you can here it going under overpasses and it sounds like a Nascar car lapping you.

it sure turns some heads. what's neat is its prety quiet at idle, but vip the throttle and she lets you know who's boss. i drive it most of the time manually shifting it so i can control the sound of it better.

Got mine done today also. For the price it`s a descent mod over the stock QUIET ? I drove most of the Hemi`s FROM the past so a little noise wasn`t a major concern ? If I wanted all quiet I would have kept my Neon and just bought a HEMI name plate ?

    removed rear mufflers

jonedgar--just remove the rear mufflers and add 31/2 " tips and you will have a great sound at idle

Did the same thing a week ago and it sounds good. Had the shop cut off back muffs and added pipe and a new set of tips. All for $114. Small price to pay to get the sound you are lookiing for. No drone on the road but when ya want to make it roar it will.
