Gibson Performance Parts

I sent an email today inquiring about the parts they have at SEMA for the Magnum and this was the response I recieved:

Dear Jim,
Thanks for checking out our booth at SEMA and our new line of products. Our Magnum is still in the R&D stages of development so I do not have any literature on the application yet, but expect performance with a capital P. CHECK back with me right after the holiday season and I should have some solid answers for you along with some specs. Once again, thanks for inquiring about Gibson performance!

Thats another company literally minutes FROM my house.They are just a couple blocks FROM Eibach too...maybe I'll stop by there soon and see if they'll give up anything!

Ummm, not to rain on anyone's parade, but didn't Russ reply with a LOAD of... null-speak that equates to: "We got nuthin, and we don't know when that will change"?

I thought I read that someone on this board was expecting to install a Gibson exhaust/cat-back (and/or headers) in the near future. If that is true then perhaps Russ is simply a "marketing guy" who hasn't talked to his engineers in awhile...

It's null-speak but they have products on display for the Magnum at SEMA so the products aren't vapor. We'll see when it happens... I'm thinking Gibson headers, Gibson or Magnaflow cat-back and Volant intake(this one is still vapor but I'm keeping my fingers crossed).

Yes, Gibson is developing the application. It was MY RT at their R&D shop for a week, boy it was painful driving that Impala FROM Enterprise when I olnly had 1200 miles on my RT. Gibson has ordered new equipment that comes FROM europe to form the custom oval mufflers they developed. They als have headers coming.
They tell me the same thing, after the Holidays for the production system. I'm back to stock for now.

The 3" Gibson Cat-back sounds killer on my brothers ram, nice and deep. cant wait to see what they come out with.

I am told I will have one of the first production exhausts for my Rt in a few weeks. They are doing the smog testing on someone's Magnum, putting 3K miles on it! I believe the Header application is also in the works, but I will probably only do the Cat back due to warranty worries.
I'll pust pics when it finally gets installed.

Sweet! The i finally got a chance to drive my bro's truck... nice growl when you floor it, and ZERO noize when your cruising...

So i would expect the same for the magnum/300
